SWIRL 4.0 debuts refreshed, two-tone experiences for AI Search and AI Assistant (new names reflecting real capability), a dramatically smarter Assistant that can issue queries in many languages and query dialects (SQL, SPARQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and more), end-to-end multilingual responses, and a new re-ranking model with confidence scoring and star highlights.

The release also adds a Coveo connector, documentation updates, and numerous UX refinements.
🔹 AI Search & AI Assistant: renamed + refreshed UI
Clean, two-tone layouts clearly separate your prompts from SWIRL responses for better readability and faster review.
🔹 Assistant: query in any supported format/dialect
When authorized, the Assistant can query on the user’s behalf using formats supported by the LLM—SQL, SPARQL, graph languages, MongoDB, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and more—democratizing access to enterprise repositories.
🔹 Multilingual querying & responses
The Assistant supports querying and translation across human languages supported by the LLM, enabling global teams to work seamlessly.
🔹 Power-user Search UI
Power users can hand-author queries in the updated Search UI. The Sources facet now auto-sizes based on the number of reporting sources.
🔹 Confidence scoring with star highlights
Results are re-ranked using a 0–1 confidence score. Items at or above a configurable threshold are starred, helping users skim multi-silo results and drive RAG from only the most relevant content.
🔹 Prompt Selector
Quickly choose prompt presets to guide AI behavior in Search and Assistant.
🔹 New Connector: Coveo
Add Coveo as a federated source within SWIRL.

We cannot take you to that message because it's in a chat you're not in.
Ensure the Microsoft Teams app is open and you are authenticated before clicking Teams links. - Creating searches from a browser with
q=can sometimes create two Search objects due to browser prefetch/predictive behavior. Disable the browser prediction service if this is undesirable.
